Camping extension lead with PRCD

  • Extension cable with PRCD personal protection switch 30 mA
  • PRCD with undervoltage tripping for protection against electrical voltage
  • The PRCD is a portable personal protection switch with an electronic residual current release and undervoltage release.
  • It recognises residual currents that occur, for example, when a faulty electrical appliance is touched and interrupts the current so quickly that life-threatening accidents can be prevented.
  • It also has an undervoltage release that switches off in the event of a mains voltage failure to prevent secondary accidents.
  • Heavy-duty rubber hose cable H07RN-F 3G2.5
  • with CEE plug 230 V, 16 A, 3-pin with powerlight voltage indicator
  • 1x CEE coupling with hinged cover 230 V, 16 A, 3-pin with powerlight voltage indicator
  • IP44: protected against foreign bodies and splash water

Opis

Heavy-duty rubber hose lines "RN-F" have rubber insulating sleeves and are encased in neoprene rubber. They are Oil, UV and ozone resistant and are suitable for temperature ranges from -30°C to +60°C. Thanks to their good mechanical resistance, they can withstand high loads in dry and damp rooms and in industrial water and can Permanently outdoorse.g. on farms or construction sites.

Shorten the annoying troubleshooting process with a look at our powerlight voltage display! If the red LED lights up on the plug and coupling, voltage is present. The cause is therefore not the power cable or the connection to the power supply.

Guidelines
Generally applicable guidelines for power supply on campsites and in motorhomes must be observed. According to DIN standard VDE 0100-721, so-called heavy rubber hose cables with the cable designation H07RN-F or higher quality cables, such as the polyurethane cable H07BQ-F in orange signal colour, with a cable cross-section of 2.5 mm2 (3G2.5) are required. In addition, the maximum length of 25 metres of cable plus 1.5 metres of adapter cable must not be exceeded. These specifications are part of all site regulations. In the event of non-compliance, you may be asked by the campsite owner to hire or purchase a cable on site. If you refuse this offer from the campsite operator, you may be denied access to the power supply. If you nevertheless gain unauthorised access to the feed-in current, you will be liable to prosecution, which will normally result in you being banned from the site. Compliance with the guidelines described above is particularly important for insurance reasons. For example, insufficient cable cross-sections can lead to a fire if the current load is too high. If damage occurs to your motorhome or on the campsite due to unauthorised cables, the insurance cover will lapse and you will be liable for the damage and the costs incurred.

Our recommendation
In terms of safety when handling electricity, it is also advisable to use electrical products with a cable length of no less than 1.5 metres. This cable length makes it possible, for example, to connect extension cables to a higher wall socket or feed socket and to lay the cable with the coupling on the floor, e.g. under the vehicle. The advantage of this is that there is no tensile load on the connection between the plug and coupling after connecting a consumer. In addition, there is no load on the supply plug. Tensile stress should always be avoided on these two connections, as in the worst case scenario, loose contact connections can cause socket fires. Short circuits can also cause damage to the connected appliances. If you want to be on the safe side, follow our tip and only use products with a minimum cable length of 1.5 metres.
