The following labelling helps you to identify which product is suitable for which area of application. We differentiate between three areas: indoor use, outdoor use and heavy-duty use on construction sites. Items that are suitable for heavy-duty use on construction sites can automatically be used both indoors and outdoors. The colour-coded guidance system shows you exactly which product is suitable for which area of application. This means you always know, for example, which cable reel is best used where and there are no nasty surprises.<\/span><\/p>\n

IP44 commercial construction site:<\/strong>
In addition to tightness against foreign bodies larger than 1 mm and protection against splash water<\/strong>, further special requirements are placed on the materials used. On construction sites, the products used must be particularly resistant to impact and breakage. In addition, according to DGUV Information 203-006 \/ BGI 608<\/strong>, only electrical cables with the qualities \"H07RN-F\"<\/strong> or \"H07BQ-F\"<\/strong> are permitted. Up to a cable length of 5 m (e.g. for lights), \"H05RN-F\"<\/strong> or \"H05BQ-F\"<\/strong> is also permitted.<\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

IP44 outdoor area:<\/strong> In outdoor areas, it is recommended to use protection class IP44<\/strong> or higher. The first digit \"4\" means that the product is protected against the ingress of solid foreign bodies<\/strong> larger than 1 mm. The second digit \"4\" indicates that the product is sufficiently sealed and therefore protected against splashing water on all sides<\/strong>. Products with protection class IP44<\/strong> for outdoor use are generally of the same quality as those for use on construction sites. However, the relevant standards and guidelines apply for use on construction sites, which not all products with protection rating \"IP44 outdoor\"<\/strong> fulfil.<\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

IP20 indoor area:<\/strong>\u00a0The IP20 protection rating means that the product\u00a0No protection against water ingress<\/strong>\u00a0owns, but\u00a0against solid objects<\/strong>\u00a0of more than 12.5 mm in diameter.
